It is a beautiful place to stroll, sit and people watch, and view the surrounding statues. A wonderful part of Florence worth a stop.

Definitely worth a visit but not over whelming. The Medussa with her lopped off was the most interesting. Not sure what the giant silver turd thing is in the center of the square but it’s an eyesore!

We visited here whilst walking around beautiful Florence. The Piazza della Signoria is an L-shaped square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. There were many places to sit and have a drink or something to eat but if like us, you are pushed for time,...More

There is a covered exhibition area (we stayed to get out of the rain) of statues from antiquity and the renaissance period. You can also see the copy of David here and Neptune’s fountain. T

We spent a short time in the Piazza earlier this month. Had lunch at an outdoor pizzeria, and enjoyed people watching and admiring the sculpture. Great rest break after the Uffizi, for sure!

Lots of history to take in in the Piazza. The copy of David is a little bit tacky, but seemed to appeal to the tourists.

You will be taking back in time as soon as you walk into the Piazza. The statues are amazing and you will want to crack a bottle of chianti and hang out.

I loved the renaissance era covered exhibition of statues from antiquity and the renaissance period. There’s also a copy of the David and Neptune’s fountain. There’s plenty of bars overlooking the square, the magnificent palazzo vecchio and the uffuzi if to the side.

What a beautiful place. Hard to imagine how it was made. Perfection comes to mind. It has historic significance and it feels wonderful to share its presence.

Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time
will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past
times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can
reach the city center, the Florence that everybody
dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can
experience the rare beauty of the capital of the
Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio
and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the

No the snorkelling is rubbish due to the high number of statues, loggias and palace buildings getting in the way. The complete lack of water beyond that of the basin of the Fountain of Neptune would also be a problem for... More
