Amazing to see the collection here, including the infamous "David"
Nov. 2021
Another “Wow!”. Priceless works and the infamous Michelangelo “David” make this a must see with your own eyes. Much smaller than the Uffizi it’s a much shorter visit some I’d recommend combining with something like the Uffizi for a full day. (they are within walking distance of each other)

Magnificent David
Nov. 2021
We bought the skip the line pass, but it wasn't that crowded. We were able to sit down and view the David instead of feeling rushed. We visited around 1:30 and the light coming through the skylight about David was beautiful. Our son brought his journal and drew it while we were there noting how detailed and large it was. There are also other statues and paintings to view, it isn't too big or overwhelming and well-spaced out.

Amazing !!

The best. Short and sweet. The museum is centered around one piece of art, everything else is superfluous.

To simply focus on David is much of the joy

Visit Michelangelo’s David and more
Jul. 2021 • Family
Our soon to be art major granddaughter was not really interested in visiting g museums with old art. But she agreed to visit this museum with the famous David statue, which is magnificent in scale and grace of execution. She actually garnered an interest when examining the exhibited paintings in more detail, especially after reading the notes posted. She could see the messages interpreted by the paintings. And she has now changed her major to sculpture. Thanks David!

Great to see the work of Michelangelo

Finally able to get in due to smaller crowds due to Covid. Finally saw the real statue of David. The detail is amazing. Glad to see the work of Michelangelo up close.

Totally worth it!
Nov. 2021
I highly recommend you visit this gallery just for the statue of David. If you are at all interested in art and art history this is definitely a must. My wife and I walked through the entire gallery and it was all very interesting but the best part was, of course, David. Looking at David alone was with the price of admission. I understand this gallery is not for everyone but I still think everyone should visit it at least once.

More than David
Nov. 2021
We are all going to see Michelangelo's David. But, there are dozens of exceptional sculptures and paintings packed into this facility.

Not my cup of tea - except for the David
Nov. 2021
I know this may not be everyones opinion, but for me the experience was underwhelming. It was really great to see the David and just for that it was kind of worth it, but the rest of the museum is rather for people who have a special interest in that kind of art. I was at the Uffizi some days before it and - I'm sorry to say - but that is another level. For me paying 12 € just to see the David was a bit much. But again, that is just my personal opinion. But anyone who thinks like me: check what else is on display there, before you make your choice of going there.

Worth a visit but not enthralled
Nov. 2021
The statue of David was the main piece, and the display of musical instruments was also very interesting (glad they were there!). Sorry to say the endless scope of statues (mostly plaster copies) and paintings meant nothing to me. The quality of the artwork was very good, but I could only take in so much! Just too much for a non-arty type.

Worth seeing David.

Worth seeing David. Otherwise disappointing. Full of plaster casts and religious iconography. Massive queues to get in, even when you pre-book. “Skip-the-line” does not exist here and that’s at the end of October!
