Love Duets’ Concert: you do not have to be a lover of Italian Opera to enjoy this wonderful evening. It’s set in a small church from 1800’s. You have a piano, soprano & tenor performing Opera’s love song and Italian love songs. The setting and performance is overwhelmingly powerful. You’ll be moved to tears by the emotions. Not to be missed.

Highly recommend this small opera group - we saw La Boheme in this intimate church. Lovely acoustics for a concert performance with minimal staging and a selection of the scenes. A very engaging host and the singing was delightful. Treat yourselves!

The Love Duets was amazing. The performers are talented in so many ways; and Franz is an incredible compere for the evening - not to mention his part as Pianist; which alone a reason to see this performance The setting is beautiful and intimate; the...More

What a wonderful way to spend an evening. If you've never been to the Opera, this is a good start. The venue is small, intimate and beautiful. The voices are wonderful and you'll appreciate the show even if you are used to huge opera halls.

Went to St Marks English church arias performance in June. Fabulous entertaining performers and a great way to spend a night in Florence. Highly recommended even if you are not an opera buff. Entrance fee is around 20 euros and goes to charity.

My husband and I have 3 young girls (12, 10 and 6) and we wanted to expose them to opera while vacationing in Italy. We felt that sitting through a full length opera in Italian might be too much at their ages. We decided on...More

We went as a family with two children ages 10 an 13. What a fantastic experience. Very well priced, worthy every penny, and for a good cause (all funds collected are fully allocated to a charity in India to help orphan children). Franz does s...More

My husband and I paid 25 euros each for a medley of love arias. In San Francisco a night at the opera is almost 8 times the cost to see something from the front row. There are no set designs or chorus but the 3...More

Held in the cosy St. Mark's Church. The venue was small but charming. The cast was wonderful and the show captivating. Do not expect a full scale production since it is mostly done for charity. Would recommend for a lovely way to pass an evening...More

Who doesn't want to see opera in Italy? Unfortunately, aside from special music festivals/events, the options for opera in Florence are rather limited. That's what makes St. Mark's the best place to see opera in Florence. As other reviewers have noted, you are not getting...More

We did not attend the opera. However, my wife and I renewed our marriage vows for our 30th wedding anniversary at St. Marks. Father William was a wonderful facilitator. The church is beautiful and has quite a history.

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great
company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo
Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour.
Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the
staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and
they cannot help but stare at the architectural
masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello
Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
