Love Duets’ Concert: you do not have to be a lover of Italian Opera to enjoy this wonderful evening. It’s set in a small church from 1800’s. You have a piano, soprano & tenor performing Opera’s love song and Italian love songs. The setting and performance is overwhelmingly powerful. You’ll be moved to tears by the emotions. Not to be missed.

Went to see La Boheme at St Marks last night which was a present from a friend. An excellent evening. Relaxed and intimate venue which lent itself to creating an authentic experience. Singing was first rate and the story telling superb. The host for the evening did an excellent job of setting the scene and creating a great atmosphere -... More

We were unlucky that there wasn't an opera we could go to on our trip but we were very lucky to find this evening advertised. The mezzo soprano and tenor were excellent with a brilliant accompanist. an hour and a half of joy and all for €20 each - and all the profits go to their charity, raising funds for... More

Fantastic experience. An absolute delight. A beautiful little church with great acoustics sets the stage for an intimate and personal experience not to be missed. The singers were excellent and the host/pianist was funny as well as extremely talented. My first opera and they have created a fan of the genre. My only fear is that a full opera will... More

The Marriage of Figaro is a delightful opera, as were the opera singers. The church is a very fitting venue, atmospheric and intimate. We've not been to St Marks previously and chose the opera as we love it and were keen to see the full opera and not just the arias. The singers were excellent, engaged with the audience and... More

The opera at St Mark's Anglican Church was the ultimate experience in Florence. Outstanding professional performance with the added bonus of supporting overseas countries in need. St Mark's use the performances to support those in need. Thankyou for this opportunity to enjoy opera in this intimate venue. Brilliant

We recently attended the love duets opera evening. Not being opera fans we were not sure if it would be for us. Well what a great time we had. The singers were amazing and it was a real fun evening with the pianist making it very light hearted. I would highly recommend it as it was so intimate being only... More

We went to the Love Duets. The calibre of the singers and the pianist were both very good - my very musical son approved. Franz Moser was an entertaining host as well as an excellent pianist. A pleasant evening.

Held in a historic church with great acoustics. Small audience all sit close to the action. Very food singers and entertaining duets. Very good value and a night you will never forget. Keep up the good work!!

We attended La Traviata and the Love Duets concert two days in a row. Both performances were great, the singers were amazing. All you have to do is send an email for the reservation and you pay it when you arrive at the church. I definitely recommend it for a great night at Florence.

We both like opera and go when we can. We were a bit dubious about going to an opera in a church (for lots of reasons) but it was most enjoyable. Really, really enjoyable. Actually, I had a smile on my face through the whole performance (The Marriage of Figaro). I'm not quite sure how they do it but 5... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
