There is plenty of sun, shade, singing birds and whispering fountains in one of Florence's largest and most beautiful gardens, which are located behind the massive Pitti Palace.

The gardens are beautiful, varied, and extensive. It's actually more like visiting a huge park with woods and fountains and sculptures than a garden, at least not what most of us think when you say the word. Take water and sunblock. You should plan a...More

The gardens were clean, the views were nice there was a lot to walk around. My one qualm was i expected more wildlife and diversity in the flowers. Its all very similar and thus my reason for the 4 star. Dont squeeze this in if...More

These gardens are a must see. Be prepared to walk/hike up some steep hills and pathways, but the views from the top are gorgeous. The gardens are well kept and it's amazing how much work must go in to maintaining them.

You need to be quite fit and mobile to visit the gardens and get the most out of them. They are the gardens of the Palazzo Pitti but it's not a good idea to visit both on the same day as you will be too...More

The Boboli Gardens are stunning with amazing views all over Florence from the top level. It's a bit of a trek up to the top so U need to be able to navigate gravel paths but the hike is worth it. There were some modern...More

Vaste but rather boring: hardly any flowers, only one fountain. Some better views on the city but that's it. Nothing compared to Versailles or Schonbrunn

Very nice and peaceful place to spend a day. Gardens, city view, old buildings and real spirit of Florence.

Despite the fact that I had been to Florence several times, I somehow missed the Gardens. We didn't have time for the Palace but we did get thru the gardens. This is a lovely spot to get away from the noise and crowds of Florence....More

The garden features some amazing statues, and views of Florence but there was little in the way of flowers when we went. The garden itself is quite a steep climb to get to, and even further to see all of it.

I am not sure about the gardens. If you bought tickets just for the gardens it should not be a problem, if is for the Pitti Palace then it could be. I would ask them.
