Iguarnieri make contemporary art in Florence, working as the old masters, what means: "at the traditional studio". My brother and I with others artist and collaborators make paintings with antique and modern techniques, for the art lovers as us that love Italian art and beauty. The history, the culture, the experience from the past and our loves, Giotto's Bottega, Botticelli's damsels, Modigliani's nudes, Picasso's Portraits, Andy Warhol and The Factory, the Turner's atmosphere, becoming contemporary art.

Strolled in on a whim, and found this to be a wonderful stop. It is filled with centuries old displays of wall hanging, artwork and heirloom works. Recent artists were also on display which demonstrated the talent of late.

We spent a day in May touring the Tuscan countryside, and as the sun was setting our driver took us to one last stop, high in the hills in the northernmost reaches of the Chianti region. There we met Rodolfo and his brother, who took us in, showed us the wine making process and introduced us to Rodolfo's other passion,... More

An artist can never get too much art? So much made, so little understood, so numerous, numerous numerous - who cares if you were known or not? You were a Renaissance wrist and your art is here!

I have to apologize to Roberto for the late review. My wife and I visited Florence September of 2012. Like many others, we stumbled upon this studio while walking back to our hotel. Roberto was more than pleasant to speak with and we fell in love with his work. We now have two beautiful paintings in our Kentucky home that... More

My husband and I were walking back to our hotel after a long day in the center of Florence. We were both tired and could barely think after all the sightseeing. Walking along the Arno I was stopped dead in my tracks by iguarnieri work. Roberto Guarneri is a beautiful artist. He welcomed us into us studio and was happy... More

We had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Roberto Iguarnieri while in Florence. He is a charming artist whose philosophy of life and art is extraordinary. To me an artist must combine craft with inspiration in order to create art. Roberto does this so brilliantly. We bought one of his fine oil paintings which now decorates our dining room... More

Staying in Piazzale Michelangelo

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
