In October my husband and I took a cooking class in Florence. Although neither of us knew what to expect, it turned out to be a highlight of our 2 week trip to Italy. Our guide, Gloria, went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable. The location of the school is stunning, overlooking Florence. The weather was perfect. The... More

This was a day trip to Cinque Terre from Florence, as part of our Italy honeymoon. We toured all five villages with transportation between them by car and train. We also hiked about three miles between two of the villages. I don't recall exactly how many were in the group but I think it was around twenty. The scenery was... More

My teenage daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our day spent cooking and walking about Florence, with the lovely Gloria. We were an assorted group of foreigners, but we all had a super time. Our tour began walking through the old part of town and shopping for the day ahead. It was filled with bits of history and anecdotes about food... More

We started the day meeting at the walkabout office in Florence. There we met Lavi and the rest of the group that would be on the tour. We walked with Lavi to the vege store, bakery and the central market to buy the food that we were going to prepare at the farm house. On the walk Lavi gave us... More

Too much sands in the seafood and small flies everywhere in the restaurant, but they did not blink to charge us full price. Very low quality service.

I took a girls trip to Italy with my sister and a friend, we didn't have much time to spend in Tuscany so this seemed like the perfect way to get an authentic experience and the tour definitely didn't disappoint! Our guide Lavinia was great and helped make the day so enjoyable! The chef's Carmela and Issac, along with the... More

I spent about two months traveling around Europe this summer and my Cinque Terre Trek hosted by Fabian was, by far, my favorite day! We spent a full day traveling and hiking to each beautiful village with such a delightful host. The pesto and sea food offered at lunch was absolutely incredible and I definitely worked up an appetite hiking... More

if you don't have much time and would still like to see Tuscany, this tour is a great way to capture all of that in one day. The guides are really helpful and informative. Would definitely recommend to this everyone.

This trip was a highlight of our Italy trip. The scenery is stunning and our tour guides made the travel interesting and informative. Giada well helpful and kind - she is clearly a PROFESSIONAL. We arrived at Cinque Terre and walked into a beautiful town with stunning views (Manarola) and then took a quick train ride to the next (Corniglia).... More

The Cinque Terre Hiking excursion from Florence was just AWESOME :) Our tour guides Fabs and Francesco were great people! Very nice guys, very knowledgable, helpful, personable, and funny! We started the morning with a bus ride into the Cinque Terre area. My travel companion and I had been doing quite a bit of traveling throughout Europe and I was... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
