Simple local church in the centre of Taormina, beautiful altar at this small local Catholic Church. Worth a visit as you walk around the town.

Spent a good few hours here there are some great little bars around the square (Not quite sure why its called a square as its more rectangular shape) Anyway I digress we absolutely canned the local red wine which was not cheap but very strong. After two bottles each we had had enough. Its a great place to people watch.... More

The church itself is nothing special, however the square with it's cafes and bars is a great place to stop, unwind, take a the sun and refreshment for a couple of hours.

This small Church on the famous Piazza 9 April is the most beautiful in Taormina in my opinion. With its elegant Baroque facade it dominates the picturesque square. Wanted to go inside, but it was closed for renovation.

Great views and great for just watching the world go by. Why not take a break at one of several restaurants around the square and enjoy.

Beautifull piazza and lovely church, a centre point for evening relax outside the church in one of the bar and let the time goes by until the night.

pretty place to visit in April. Its small scale so I can imagine that it gets packed in high season.

In a Busy Piazza the Building overlooks the Piazza and out to the sea. Bustling with street entertainers a prefect setting

We were already aware of the Church through various travel shows, but of course it's more beautiful to see in person. Because of it's location it always seemed to be "on the way" to wherever we were going, so it's in lots of pictures! Never did get inside but we did scale the steps and peek in through the plexiglass.... More
