The place is awesome although it is mainly taken over by the lido's umbrellas and deckchairs but they serve their purpose well. Still, there are some free parts. We had to buy some jelly beach shoes in order to walk and swim on the pebbled...More

Well, i dont get the fuss about this island. View is ok, but the beach is terrible. It's difficult to get into the water, coast is full of large underwater stones, that makes its difficult to get into the water, choose another beach instead.

Walked down to here from Taormina. My shoes got wet and once I got there I understood why they were selling plastic shoes!! Beautiful, tranquil spot and worth a visit. Take a boat trip around the grottos- loads available from the beach

Isola Bella is a must in Taormina, one of the most beautiful architecture of nature. The link between the land and the island is outstanding. You can do sunbathing on both sides, but in summer it might get very crowdy. Snorkelling is also an activity...More

This is a great trip quite awesome to be highly recommended. But only do it on a day with calm sea the visits to the sea caves shall take your breath away.

It is a little island owned by a British woman. It is quite quirky but also nice. It cost 4 euros to enter. and it is surrounded by the beach and hotels and restaurants. quite worth visiting

Be sure to come with water shoes or be prepared to buy them. The beach is gorgeous but very unkind to your feet! For 10 Euro we bought water shoes which enabled us to stay and enjoy the day. The water is crystal clear and...More

lots of stairs to get down to the beach, shops and restaurants along the beach, this is a pebble beach, I recommend swim shoes or at least flip flops as the rock hurt your feet.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon. The water is super clear and really cold. We did paddle boarding and wished we had done the snorkeling tour too. There is no sand at this beach so bring water shoes of some kind or...More

The cable car from Taormina across from the bus station takes you down for 6 euros round trip. Be aware that from the terminus station there are LOTS of steps to go down to the (stones) beach. To cross into the island you'd need to...More

Hi, Planning a day trip from Catania to Taurmina area in June. Want to spend some time on the beach at Isola Bella, but worried about leaving valuables on the beach whilst in the sea. Does anyone know if any of the Beaches/Lidos/hotels here have lockers that can be hired for the day. Thanks.

I don't know about if there are any lockers available, but if you're going for a day on the beach , avoid to take any valuable's , better leave them locked in car , safer ... just take a towel and enjoy, obviously you need... More
