The public beach is ok but rather dirty. Lot plastic an cigarette stubs. The commercial area with chairs is fine but the staff is not very friendly. Next time I’ll try to find another beach...

We went to Arenella after visiting Syracuse. It was a real blessing! Turquoise waters, fine sand and splendid colours! There is a public part at no cost. We just loved it! One of the most beautiful and enjoyable in Sicily!

Takes about twenty minutes by bus from Syracuse, but worth every minute. This beach complex costs money to enter but it is possible to walk around the entrance and get to a second beach which is free and has no facilities. Everyone was having fun....More

Lovely beach, beautifully clean water, but constant music with DJ commentary completely spoilt it for us. We had a quick dip and beat it back to Siracusa

If like me, you loathe organised fun, heaving beaches, intrusive music and trash, steer clear. If not, you'll love it!

If you don't have a car Arenella can be easily reached by bus from the station in Siracusa but check the times as only every hour. From where the bus turns round just walk down to the coast and take your pick of public beach...More

Sorry for the delay of my reply. I just saw the question. There is a bar of the hotel close to the pool. Outside the hotel I think , no. However, I am not so sure.
