Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely friendly place, very clean and nice to see a venue trying their best to recycle and encouraging guest to do so. Food was on par for price with everywhere else. Loads of choice. Loungers were great and bang on price when you think of all the facilities you get to use.

When you arrive there is free parking area or pay parking under the shade.
Turn right and walk 50 metres to a free beach area. Plenty of sand and clean sea.
Turn left and pay 7 euro per person there is a beach with changing sunbeds parasol and lifeguards. Also restaurant and toilets. Worth every penny, Clean and well organised and not too busy in June.

This is probably the closest beach when you are staying in Siracusa (with the exception of the tiny strip of beach in Ortigia, which we wouldn't recommend). However, if you continue half an hour further South, you will find Lido di Noto, which is a fantastic beach!

If like me, you loathe organised fun, heaving beaches, intrusive music and trash, steer clear. If not, you'll love it!

We got followed by a group of girls and they pulled up to use when we stopped. They started talking in Italy. Then when they realised we weren't Italianm they produced a piece of glass that resembled a wing mirror and gesticulated that we'd broken theirs. Of course, we hadn't so I got out and said no and just stared her out etc. It was a strange experience. I was told by a local this is a popular scam. They were unpleasant but it was during the day and no large looking male cousins appeared so we were OK. ;)

We visited this beach from Syracuse for a day out at the beach.
The beach itself was nice, very busy but you would expect this on a weekend in July. The water was lovely clear, clean & cooling.
We got the bus no. 23 from the bus station in Syracuse, this was no problem. There is a place to buy fruit & cold drinks as you enter the beach.
The problem started when we tried to get back as no scheduled buses turned up! We waited for 2 hours in the heat & then gave up & we’re lucky enough to be able to share a taxi back to town with some others that were also waiting for the bus.
This cost us 20 Euros per couple. So just be aware that it’s a nice place to go for a swim but you might have trouble getting back if you don’t have your own transport.

My girlfriend and I went here on a recommendation of a local from Siracuse.
The positives: The water was nice and clean and lovely to swim in. While it was busy enough you could still find a spot to yourself to enjoy the wonders of the Mediterranean.
The negatives: The beach was small and crowded and covered in cigarette butts and other small pieces of rubbish.
If heading here from Siracuse using public transport you can get the 23 bus from the Stazione (or thereabouts) which takes about 40 minutes. You can get the bus back to Siracuse from the same stop that you got off at earlier and it takes about 20 minutes foot the return trip.

In general it would be just average beach, but comparing to other Sicilian beaches it is excellent. So weird. Town around this beach is simply very poor, full of rubbish, but then again, most of Sicilian places are like this and this is even better comparing to other places.
