We visited Italy in September. Drought problems caused many of the fountains to be turned off. This was one of them. The statuary was exceptional. There's not really a good spot to view this unobstructed, or for taking pictures. In a very busy piazza. Lots...More

It was lovely to see this fountain though at the time of viewing it was being repaired. I am sure it would have been even more impressive lit up and with water flowing.

Nice fountain, unintresting area and not much else. The fountain isnt spectaculer but is nice. It would be nice is the area had an museum or something else to make the area more appealing.

Great surprise on the way to the duomo! Just beautiful statues in the middle of a busy road! The carvings are just beautiful.

We were on the Hopper Bus tour of the town when the commentary announced we were entering the square where the famous ‘Fountain of Diana’ was situated. Alas it was surrounded with scaffolding presumably undergoing renovation. It’s a pity such works were being carried out...More

Italy likes its fountains, and this is lovely but far from the best. It is likely to be on your travels in Syracuse, so go visit.
