The ruins of the Temple of Apollo (7th-6th century BC) won't give you the whole picture; you should visit the archaeological museum in Syracuse to find out what the entire structure looked like.

Located just a few minutes walk from Parchegio Talete (the best place to park your car while visiting Ortigia) , and two minutes from Piazza Emanuele Pancali . The ruins of the temple are not too impressive , but worth a few minutes stop to...More

There is not a great deal left of Apollo's temple in Ortagia, but it is a part of the old town which is definitely worth a visit. If you are looking for Greek ruins, add the old amphitheatre just north west of the town to...More

It is amazing to find a ruin in the middle of a city that is vibrant and full of shoppers and sightseers.

Sadly you cannot access the site but can walk around the boundary. It is lit up in the evenings. Seems to be a favourite meeting place for students!

You really cannot go to Ortigia without seeing the remains of this temple, regardless of whether you want to. That being said, we took some fantastic photos both early morning and twilight. It was obviously very large originally and you can get a feel for...More

As other reviewers have stated earlier, this temple is located very near to the entrance to Ortigia so it is really easy to visit. It is a pity that not much has been left of the temple and the information of the temple is not...More
