It may help kids to enjoy the show if (parents) read (in advance) the story in the booklet sold separately at the ticket desk. It is a nice story, buy perhaps a bit too aggressive for some toddlers. Theater may be full so it may...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the performance of ‘Rinaldo and the dragon in the grotto’ which was enacted in the delightful vaulted puppet theatre in the Guidecca. Everything was very well organised with allocated seating on pews with cushions. The squeals and laughter from the front rows...More

Very average experience. Extremely overrated. Staff were rude, unfriendly and insulting. Making obnoxious comments and assuming that as a foreigner that I spoke no Italian. Very ignorant and unprofessional. Small children were separated from their parents and placed down the front. We took a 4...More

This marionette museum is fascinating and the show is well done as well. Marionettes of all descriptions are on display but the most fascinating is the politics behind the theatre itself as the well informed guides will tell you all about

After visiting the puppet museum we had to see a performance of the puppets. It was a small theater so we could see the Puppets and we really enjoyed the show.

We really enjoyed the show – it's a little 'crash, bang wallop' at times but the setting, the story and the super puppets were very impressive. Well worth a visit if you can. Do buy a programme if your Italian is poor.

What a fascinating and unusual thing to Do! The puppet masters are very skilled, the story fast paced ( buy the guide for 50c prior to entering) and it is a great way to spend 45 minutes in Ortygia.
