This is a lovely botanical gardens, with beautiful palms, cacti and banyan trees. Well worth coming to escape the oppressive July heat in Palermo. However saying this like so much of Palermo it needs investment, where is the shop, garden centre, a coffee shop or...More

Nice enough but not worth travelling too far for. The park is located in the Kalsa district, close to the coast and boasts busts and statues of several people famous from Palermo's history. However, there are more beautiful parks within the city that are worth...More

We found this place when exploring the city and it's lovely. Really interesting trees - some a bit like The Day of the Triffids - and a great neighbourhood which features a really good bric-a-brac market on Sunday. We wished we had taken a car...More

If you enjoy walking by Palermo's waterfront, don't miss the Garibaldi gardens. It is provides a quiet respite from the rest of the city and a rest for weary travellers.

A nice place to rest on a bench in the shade before venturing back out into the hot busy streets of Palermo. Only one of the park gates is open, so there's no 'through traffic' as it were.

Our guide book does not mention it but these trees are worth to see. If you are in Palermo don't miss this place.

Two specimens of this plant take up a large portion of the small public garden, but more exotic plants can be admired as well.

It is a nice place where you can see impressive old trees, very big and massive. There is some garbage, not like in the English gardens.

Regrettably the gardens were closed with no apparent reasons given or indication of when they would be open again. Looked fabulous from outside the fence.
