We found the Oratorio hard to find but well worth the effort as the decoration was remarkable and, apparently, all done by one man!

The whole walls are covered in real lifelike figures that seem to leap out of the walls. The figures are all stucco and are a playful work by the artist and there is not a bare bit of wall that does not have a figure...More

Simply the most amazing stucco artistry that I have ever seen, anywhere. When in Palermo, this is a must see stop for fans of renaissance art. They give visitors a small tablet guide to the stucco art, which was very helpful.

This glorious space with stucco decoration was filled with the scent of freesias as it was decorated with flowers for a wedding on a Saturday afternoon. One of the many highlights of Palermo.

The stucco work by Serpota is superb. Shame that so much of it has been stolen, along with the Caravaggio.

Well worth a visit. The whole Oratorio is carved and decorated with a great sense of perspective. When you pull aside the curtain and walk in, it's definitely a "wow" moment!
