The Gallery, for obvious reasons, specialises in Sicilian art. It's a well structured museum and although you will not see any modern or contemporary master pieces it will give you a good introduction to Sicilian art.

Entry Euro 7. Photography allowed - no flash. First up - Modern Art is roughly from the mid 1800s to the mid 1900s - the beautiful Romantic Period of art - it's not Contemporary Art which is the period that followed. There is only one...More

Beautiful old building with an excellent and extensive collection of 19th- and 20th-century Sicilian art. Really nice place to spend a couple of hours. The Steve McCurry exhibit was great, but the permanent collection was even better.

This gallery is in a really nice location. Plenty to see, nice cafe as well. Saw lots of great paintings by people I had never heard of. Good value.

The building is beautiful with courtyards and large staircases, high ceilings. Separate tickets to pay for the gallery and for the temporary exhibition. The exhibits were mostly 19th/20th century Sicilian/Palermitan art, and there was a temporary exhibition (until February 2017) of Steve McCurry's iconic photographs....More
