We wandered through and found a good place to eat. By the side of the main walkthrough we sat and enjoyed fantastic seafood pasta.

These markets were touted to be just great and a must see. We made it there mid morning on a warm and sunny day and found not a lot. The locals were out and about but that was about it. The streets are narrow and...More

Locals have told us that this market used to be a major one, but these days - at least, during the day - it seemed to be little more than half a dozen stalls. Disappointing - better to go to Ballaro or Capo

The Vucciria is one of the backbone markets of Palermo. It's a little smaller than Capo and Ballaro but maybe the oldest? It has the famous Spleen Sandwich guy & Taverna Azzurra so what's not to like! Full of characters so go check it out!

... look around this market you ll see free fish, fruits / vegetables and other food. A lot of small booths where you can buy and eat small local specialities. Dont drive by car, you ll never get out again :-)

We were with a small group experiencing the market at night for some food. Food was very good- fresh sea food of all types, different things to fry such as sardines, panele and potato and of course the spleen. Oysters too I think. We liked...More
