Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must to see in Palermo! This street is centrally located it is difficult to miss. We were in a hotel at this street, so we could just walk everywhere. Usually is full of people at night and bars are open until pretty much morning. It is a must to be place once in Palermo.

We stayed close to Via Vittorio Emanuele and there is a nice bar with tables and benches on the street. It is lovely to sit and watch watch the world go by with a drink. There is a different clientele on different evenings. The staff are really friendly and one evening when we stopped for a drink on our way back to our hotel around 7pm they brought out some small filled rolls and some nights they brought out crisps. Later in the evening it can get busy. The drinks are reasonably priced. I would recommend stopping for a drink.

Beautiful town. Do not take the red trolley. Customer service is bad, those people are scammers. everything else in the Island is as amazing as Italy is

Stretching from Porta Nuova in the south this road runs past the cathedral and through Quattro Canto to Porta Felice in the north - most of it is now pedestrianised. Lined with high buildings, many with ornate carvings which were once grand houses, this street is now home to hotels, shops and restaurants and is an interesting place to wander along during the day and evening.

An interesting street, at least from the main gate (Porto Nuova) past the cathedral and along to the end of the (allegedly) pedestrianised area. In this case, "pedestrianised" just means slightly less traffic and marginally less chance of being mown down by a moped or vehicle!

Not a bad street, some interesting shops and restaurants: it hasn't given way entirely to tourist shops, which is a blessing.

This is a lengthy street running between Porta Felice at Foro Italico Umberto 1 and Porta Nuova, and intersects with Via Maqueda at Quattro Canti. It is regarded as the oldest street in the city and dates to Phoenician rule in Sicily. During past centuries the street has been reconstructed, the layout adjusted, buildings demolished to lengthen the route, there have been various name changes with the current name dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II following the unification of Italy. The street is a pedestrian area between the Cathedral and Quattro Canti and there are numerous piazzas, historic sites and buildings, shops and restaurants to interest the visitor. Its a busy area, thronged with tourists.

Busy and touristy. Watch out for vehicles, despite it being partly pedestrianised. It's an interstign walk but there are far more interesting places to sit and relax.
