Stumbled on it after accidentally taking a wrong turn. Its a small norman castle on a lava promontory. Very nice to explore but a little plain to look at.

Rather than trying to find parking, decided to visit this as part of the hop on/off bus and spent an hour wandering around. Lovely little village, great views, fantastic back drop for photos and the castle is impressive made of black lava stones
The castle in the background to this turquoise blue sea is a magnificent backdrop. It is made of the black lava stone that is all around this area. Nice little bars and restaurants dotted around too.
Its a really small town, the castle is really cool though. The castle looks like it was carved from the rock. The view from of Aci Trezza is pretty awesome.
The Norman castle of Aci Castello is plased on a rocky promontory. Made of black lava stones it stands high above the ground. Impressive sight remembering of a stony ship.
a good to stop-by spot, seeing this ancient castle. there was a gate leading up but it was closed when we were there. not sure if the inside would be opened for visit. there were people sun-bathing and swimming nearby, but be aware of the...More
