Our B&B arranged the day trip to Mount Etna for us with a company called Etna Excursions. We were picked up by this company at the door of our B&B and returned there at the end of the visit. Our Guide, a young lady who drove us to Mt Etna, and also took us into lava caves and onto the... More

The road to9 the top is amazing and rich of beautiful spots. If you go there in november do not forget to take a with you a wind jaket and gloves. The wine tasting our guide Mario, of Catania tour day tours, took us for a delicious wine tasting on the way down to the coast was faboulous

We rented a car and drove to the top of mount Etna from Catania Center. The drive takes about 45 minutes through inner-city and mountain roads. The ride is very fun on this curvy, 2 lane road as you approach the top of the volcano where the cable car base is. The view from the top is stunning specially on... More

We wanted to go to the top of Mt. Etna to finish our last days of 2016. The weather was very bad -25 degrees Celsius with a 80 km/h wind. All we could see were the Sylvester craters at a low altitude of 1,900 meters because all services were shut down due to the extreme weather conditions. Be careful, never... More

Visiting Etna was one of the main highlights of our trip to Catania! The mount was covered in snow and holds such beautiful views and scenery. Will definitely have to be back in spring to walk around the craters and trials.

The drive to the funicular is already an adventure. We enjoy the view on the way and stopped many times to take pictures. The experience to approach the top of the volcano is incredible. We are luck to have a nice weather although we arrived the funicular in the afternoon. The ticket of the cable car and snow sweeper tank... More

My boyfriend and I came here and I loved it! I enjoy outdoor activities - sadly we weren't able to hike right up the volcano - his brother and partner couldn't handle the cold. If you want to see absolutely stunning panoramic views and enjoy a little slip and sliding on some volcanic rocks, I highly recommend it. The food... More

Etna is an amazing place to visit for nature lovers. We took a bus from Catania which we travelled with to Rifugio Sapienza. We decided to buy a ticket only to the cable car and (instead of the 4x4 car tour) did the rest from the top cable car station to the Filosofo crater by walking. It all happened in... More

We took an all day jeep tour to Mount Etna through the company Go Etna. We were very satisfied. The guides and drivers were prompt and courteous....would highly recommend this company. The views are stunning, and the jeep ride was a wonderful way to enjoy this amazing active volcano. If possible, take advantage of every hiking opportunity that presents itself.... More

Very cold but the nice panoramic view compensate the discomfort. The telpher costs 30 EUR for two ways.
