Dating back to 16th century, this church is mostly recognisable for its baroque decor from 18th century. Chapels, ceilings, dome and pulpit are all lavishly ornamented. Outside the church, there's an old four-columned, stone pulpit - the Spanish emperor Carlos V is said to have...More

You could spend an hour or more here even if you are not a religious person. It is full of historical artefacts and is located in a wonderful square. A really good place to walk around even if you only have a few minutes.

Very ornate inside with tremendous art work all around. Volunteers provide free guided tours of the interior with information in a number of languages. A must-see, better than the cathedral.

There are many churches in the city but this is one of the best. Outside looks ok but inside it is excellent so well worth the visit.

Nice baroque church situated in the old city and belonging to the Jesuits. Inside is decorated with marble and the sacresty is particularly interesting.

Behind the baroque façade is hidden a church from the 18th century, with a painted ceiling. At the entry you will find a nice pulpito, used by the Spanish 'emperor' Charles V, which originally comes from the San Francesco Church in Stampace. In the neighbourhood...More

A glorious baroque church. Seems to be open early and late but not during the day. The Sacristy is the best room in the city, wonderful rococco decorations, its at the back, access through the ante sacristy at the back left. Don't miss it.

This is a good place to visit because it's an ancient, yet well-preserved, church. The interior is even better than the façade. Unfortunately, there's lots of people near-by from tourists to annoying commerciants.
