This is an extremely old cathedral and well worth a visit. It was very quiet whilst we were there and therefore easy to get around and see everything.

We were a little disappointed when arriving at the front of the Cathedral to see it covered completely in scaffolding. Don't worry just walk around the corner and you enter at the back of the alter. Certainly worth a visit if you are in Alghero.

Went to my brother's wedding at the church. Beautiful church in a beautiful city. Build in 500's! The town is awesome, the people are so nice and friendly.

This church has a wonderful feel. There was no part that was not accessible. While strolling in the streets of Alghero in the evening the doors of the were open and we visited. Worth a moment.

Do this early in trip. Paid €5 for museum and bell tower view. The museum bit is kinda dull and small, the church itself tho is nice but main attraction is view from top of bell tower.

Entrance to the cathedral is free and for a €3 charge we had a very informative guided tour of the of the bell tower. The view from the top is well worth the climb up the narrow spiral stairs.

This old cathedral like many others of its kind, is a quiet retreat from the city outside. It does however also offer great views over the rooftops of Alghero from the bell tower which can be accessed for just 3 Euro which also includes a...More
