Another must visit sight if you are interested in Sardinias Nuragic past, good value for money and handy if you are doing multiple things in one day as you won't need more than an hour to look round and visit on the way to Sassari...More

Good interesting bit of holiday filler, when tied in with the Nuraghe Palmevera ruins (you can buy tickets to both together at a discounted price - though they are separate sites so you'll need a car), made for an enjoyable afternoon. Both have a small...More

These are some of the best and largest rock-cut collective tombs in Sardinia, and date back at least 4500 years. There is a cemetery of them, and you can go inside and see the chambers, and, in at least 3 cases, see the bulls head...More

Dear visitor, thanks for spending time reviewing us. Our team is very glad to read your comment. Just a tiny note: unfortunately there is no bar/care at the necropolis, we hope to open one as soon as possible, but we are very proud to confirm...More

Visit at the end of the day - the site is open until 7pm (or at least it was when we visited in August) - when the sun is setting. The end of day light adds a magical quality to this fascinating site. You need...More

The tombs are fascinating and well-worth seeing. Wear clothes you can get dirty, if you really want to explore the interiors. A good flashlight will help to distinguish some of the artwork. For a thorough investigation, take along a description of the excavations -- the...More

This burial site is a ticket package with Nuraghe di Palmaceta 12 km away. So these subterranean burial vaults are not much to look at until remembering the tombs and passageways were dug from limestone and sandstone 5200-6500 years ago. The site is well marked,...More

This is a series of graves believed to date from around 3000BC. They were discovered in the early 1900's and were further excavated and investigated during subsequent years. Any artefacts discovered have long since been removed to museums, so what is left is a series...More

The necropolis has only been open to tourists in recent years. You cannot argue with its significance when you know of its age and the information it relays of thousands of years ago. The people for example must have been very small. Again it is...More

The prehistoric necropolis contains over 30 graves similar to Domus de Janas and artificial rock cut chambers. The necropolis is situated near the airport of Alghero and near the Sella & Mosca winery, which is an additional reason to come in this region.

You have to walk around the site, everything is underground. Artificial caves used for graves, most not very deep. From a distance it only seems a flat field. We found it interesting, but we are interested in archeology
