In a land where so much of what is interesting is old--centuries old, it is nice to see an effective modern monument, and this one is placed very photogenically near the sea.

This is a good place to stand and see this statue and to soak up the atmosphere whilst watching life go by. You will have a great view over to the Castle and the docks and port, even nicer whilst watching the sun set.

These lovely statues adorn the waterfront pavement in the bay area. There's plenty of room to snap your picture against these imposing pieces of art.

The Welcoming Sailors - a great photo memory of Taranto. As you walk up to the sailors you start the fascinating walk to the Ponte Girevole and Taranto Vecchio.

Standing near this monument one can see a nice view of the castle and also of the island of St. Peter and of the island of St. Paul.

This statue is about 7m and dedicated to the lower graded marine ships people. This statue is OK for taking picture the whole day, both the face and the backside are good

The statue and the symbol is good, but what's around of grafitti, broken pavement, cracked railing support, garbage, dog dropping. Not worth seeing.
