Hot dry wooded peninsula on the Adriatic coast half way down the eastern side of Italy. Pia Padr has his shrine here for gullible Roman Catholics.

In this forest the temperature is about 5 degrees below the beach temperature. Very nice roads to get there and not so crowded.

If you wish a relaxed exploration of the Gargano, please start in September. Of course you will have some Campers driven from site to site, but at least you will find some place to put your car before enjoying the view.
