The Gallerie d’Italia in the Palazzo Leoni Montanari hadn’t been on our must-see list, but we were glad we happened on it. The interior of this mansion of textile mogul Giovanni Leoni Montanari, whose taste ran to the ostentatious, featured lots of elaborate putti. Classical...More

Palazzo Leoni Montanari houses the Vicenza branch of Gallerie d'Italia. It houses mostly temporary exhibitions. We liked some better than others when we visited, but the building itself is worth a visit.

This is an attractive art museum without crowds of visitors but with lots to see. Both the regular items and the special show of icons made out entry most worthwhile. Don't miss the extraordinary sculpture of the Fall of the Rebel Angels. You will ask...More

It was interesting both for the content and the architecture. It was not crowded and you could spend time looking at what you wanted to without pressure

A beautiful gallery in a stunning former palace the interior of the palace alone is worth visiting but a magnificent collection of art. The many glass chandlers were breathtaking.

This museum has a very interesting selection of greek-orthodox icons, which by themselves are worth a visit. There was a gorgeous temporary exhibit of greek ceramics too.

This was a surprising find and exceeded all our expectations. We spent a whole afternoon there. It’s included in the Vicenza Museum Card, which – alone, in my view – makes the card a good buy. We really liked everything the museum had to offer...More
