Magnificent example of Palladian architecture a bit out of the main tourist area, kind of interesting but only for about 15-20 min or so

Easy to get to from Vicenza - in fact we walked back to town. This is Palladio's masterpiece. On Saturdays you can view the interior - while the furnishings are more modern the interior plan is impressive. Walk around the villa and get a perspective...More

The visit to La Villa Rotunda punctuated the highlight of our trip to Italy. Visit the Palladio Museum first and walk the town with a guide map. Check ahead and come when the interior is open to public.

One of the best examples of good Renaissance architecture you can find, at a walking distance from Vicenza -about a thirty-minute walk or less from the station-. La Rotonda is harmonious and big -but not huge-. Unfortunately only the gardens and the ground floor of...More

Beatiful Palladian villa, with wonderful unique decorations and garden around. It is a must see point if you are looking for architectural jems Although i would expect the villa's gift shop to be a bit more appealing.

We went to the villa as it opened at 3pm. We paid 10 euros a person for entry right at the gate. The villa itself is grand on the outside, & the inside is decorated with lavish paintings all over the walls & dome, but...More

Here we saw a special architecture, and if you are a passionate person in this field, you do not have to miss this place. However, the outside is also extremely beautiful. I recommend it!

Google maps is probably the best way to see a walking map. I don't recommend walking from Vinenza city center or even from the train station - it's a far walk from either. There is a bus which will drop you off on the main... More

Depending on how much you like walking you may walk the distance of about the two miles mentioned above, but if you are a family I would prefer taking a taxi to La Rotunda. Remember to see the opening hours for the inside of... More
