Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Probably the most picturesque bridge in Vicenza. The houses along the river are adorned with window boxes full of flowers and different times of the day allow for the light to play along the buildings, highlighting different aspects. Well worth a stop on the bridge itself, but also to be viewed from Ponte San Paolo just west of it.

I have to say that this is just a bridge. Bridge over a blackish water which had lots of plastic floating on it.

We are so positively surprised by the "grandeur" of Vicenza. This bridge just fits in this overall experience, not spectacular but very nice for a look and a short walk.

This is the most beautiful bridge in Vicenza in my humble opinion. A place to see in this amazing city. Don't forget to come back at night to see the bridge wit the lights on. Definitely you will have a lovely memory and an amazing photo.

As others at TA have mentioned, the Ponte San Michele is at the south end of Vicenza, not far from the Basilica, and viewing it from the bridge more to the west provides for great views looking both at the bridge and water at the left, and waterway toward the right. Reminded us of a similar view in Colmar. On a sunny day, this is definitely a worthwhile minor detour for a picturesque view of a very peaceful area of town.

A small river flows through Vicenza and comes fairly close to the very center of town. In one small area two bridges cross the river just a block or so apart. The Ponte San Michele is the more famous as a stone bridge going back to the early 1600s. The other is less unique but is lined by flowers. Each bridge makes an ideal place to take photos of the other bridge which is exactly what we did. It also provided a good look at the backside of several large dwellings in the city.

The Ponte San Michelle bridge spans the river (Fiume Retrone) in central Vicenza with grace and elegance. Its old and weather beaten. Old houses line both sides of the river and it is the perfect spot for a picture of an old Italian town.

If you or your spouse enjoy taking photographs, this is a good place to spend an hour or so. The bridge and surrounding buildings are above average for photography.

Ponte San Michelle is a small bridge over the river (Fiume Retrone) in central Vicenza. The bridge is clearly very old but it's delightfully quaint and offers some nice views of the river and neighbouring district. Arguably to get the best appreciation of the bridge you need to view it from the adjacent road, Ponte S Paolo, which offers great views of the bridge.
