Stunning church in the historical center

I truly disagree with the previous reviewer's comment that this church is "average". I cannot fathom how one can describe this cathedral in such a mundane way. Perhaps this lad was having a bad day, I don't know. But don't be put off by that comment and see the church for yourself. It is just beautiful. The facade is not... More

It has got a nice piazza in front with a fountain and coffee places and some sort of sculpture the kids played on. As churches go in Italy it is quite average, nice enough to peek into.

Vicenza is like a well kept secret amongst Italian cities, most people skip it and go from Venice to Verona, and they really miss out. San Lorenzo is just one example of beautifully preserved architecture in the heart of the city.

Went into this church because we were passing, later saw pictures of the courtyard which we obviously missed. Beautiful artwork, but not an abundance of it and nothing that stood out as being spectacular, but certainly worth a visit, especially since it was free to enter.

Very beautiful church - pretty nice interior for Gothic exterior)! There's no entrance fee - why not have a look at it).

This is good example of Gothic architecture in central Vicenza. Best of all it is free. Started in the 1200s, it was later used as a stable by Napoleon. Free wifi and some great wine bars in the piazza.

This is quite a lovely church. It is worth it to walk through. There is a relaxing courtyard as well. Wonderful!
