Took a 1pm train from Venice to Verona. The best deal is 9.5 euro taking 1 hour 27 mins. This was our last stop to get to a high point to see the beautiful city of Verona AND work off some pasta by making our...More

We went during sunset and the views were beautiful. Take a bottle of water with you and wear something light because you will get a little hot during the climb!

Beautiful panoramic view of Verona. And, if you are able, skip the tram and take the stairs to be rewarded by picturesque backstreets and views of the theater.

While there isn't much of anything else, with the notable exception of the restaurant "Teodorico Re" right below the piazzale, this is the best spot in Verona for photographs of the city from above, don't miss it, you'll get there in 15 or so minutes...More

The funicular costs 2 Euro and definitely was worth taking instead of hiking up in the hot sun. There are great views at the top. Just beware of people trying to sell you tours and other things there.

Set up on the hills the view is outstanding with a nice cafe to relax and enjoy the views. Good service and place to relax.

There is a funicular if you don't want the walk and is very cheap, just €2 return although the walk is not a long one. Best views of the city and surrounding area.

Well worth the walk up the steps. Can take the funicular but wheres the fun in that? This is a must visit, perfect photo opportunities of Verona from a vantage point. Amazing view!!

We took our stroll to this incredible viewing spot early in the morning on a warm September sunny day. Yes, it is a little hike, but you need to burn off the calories from the 5 star cuisine. The view gives you a great perspective...More

We opted to walk up the steps and use the stops as photo opportunities and we were able to get some great photos of Verona. It was a hard walk in the sun but well worth the effort for the views.

It is 300 metres and about 7 minutes to walk. I didn't count the steps though :-)
