Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While we were in Verona, we often walk past Piazza Bra and the Verona Arena. This beautiful gate is definitely quite imposing and beautiful. We love the perfect two marble arches with the large clock on top.
The red brick work is the same as the Castelvecchio nearby.

The medieval gates of Bra will welcome you to the epicentre of Verona, the Piazza Bra and the Amphitheater. Nothing too special, but history buffs will enjoy what others may view as mundane

One of the doors of Verona. Very well preserved and when you pass under it, you will find the Arena of Verona.

We were in Verona for a few hours and after having lunch we went for a bit of a walk around the central area. This archway was clearly something dating back to earlier times. I wasn't sure however about the purpose of the Egyptian statue next to the archway.

This is the usual entry point into Verona, with the castle up to the left and straight on into the city. The gate is lost in the buildings really, but the area is full of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Furthermore, it is the drop-off and pick-up point for the shuttle from the Crowne Plaza at the Feria - a very cost-effective 4-star hotel.

We walked through several times on our trip from the railway station to the old centre of Verona. A lovely entrance to the city and a good focal point to meet people.

You have to pass right through here to get to the arena. You can’t go on or in it. It is ok to look at, but not anything to write home about

There is not an awful lot to say about this, it is good historical architecture well worth seeing whilst in Plazza Bra.

A beautiful land mark on the way to the amphitheater with a lovely large clock in the center for two joining arches, leading into a square
