Really recommend for the art buff

Love this museum, lots of oil and water color works as well as bronze and plaster works. Worth a visit if those things interest you.

How unwelcoming this place was firstly we stood waiting to be acknowledged
Then I was insulted by ticket lady asked if I required concession rate u said no then she continues to ask if I required the over 60 s I said I look like this because I'm having a hard day We go upstairs to the gallery To be met by the desk clerk we didn't even look up put out his hand for the ticket without looking We waited to see how long it would take him to look up to take my husband ticket off him I tried to ask about my bag and cost but told through there pointing Ito the gallery wouldn't mind but we were the only ones in the gallery at this point Next check point 2 employees came over Ticket they said and put bag on front ai did point out I had asked this question before if the Clarke could of been bothered to look up
No camera
No mobiles am sorry but this gallery has problems with there welcome bI have visited the uffrizi the academia in Florence Milan and Prado in Madrid and recently the rjke in Amsterdam cameras all excepted without the flash
And this gallery's nice but personall let it down you need to take a look at your country's best galleries and maybe aspire to have service and a welcome like them one day

Lovely gallery
Aug. 2019 • Couples
I enjoy visiting art galleries in every city I visit. Galleria d’Arte Moderna has a nice collection of modern art from Verona. It is situated in the ancient part of city, I loved the exhibitions although it could be a bit larger.

Italian modern art
Oct. 2018 • Solo
A nice not too big collection on Italian modern art with some very interesting pieces. Emphasis of the collection is on the period 1840 to 1940.

For Art Lovers - Serious Stuff
Mar. 2019 • Friends
If your going for a quick look and kill time - not for you - this is serious and sometimes dark art - mostly Italian - some nice paintings and sculptures - if you are serious its OK if your not into art and think its may entertain you for a while its not for you. Very nice - situated under the Torre De Lamberti - worth incorporating a visit to the tower and see the overview of Verona - there is a lif most of the way up.

Small but perfectly formed...
Apr. 2019 • Couples
Quite a small gallery, but there is a wide variety of work on display. It is interesting to see how art developed in the area in parallel with the rest of Europe. The cost is very low -€4.00 which is excellent value. The galleries are nicely air conditioned with plenty of space around the exhibits. There are locker facilities so you don't have to lug around coats and bags. A very pleasant experience.

Art Lovers Should Visit
Aug. 2018 • Solo
I wasn't sure about visiting this museum as I'm not really a modern art lover. However, cause it was included in the Verona Card, I I decided to take a look and pop in for a quick visit and I am so glad I did. I saw everything in the end but it's a small museum and you can do it all in an hour/hour and a half depending on how much you read about each piece of artwork. Most of the art is 19th and 20th century althoug the last room had some contemporary art and I even found that quite fascinating although it isn't really for me.
I would say if you enjoy art musuems of any kind, then this is a good choice. If you're a casual art lover and have bought the Verona Card then use it to visit this museum as you may find it intereting and if you don't you haven't wasted any money.

Don't waste your time
Aug. 2018 • Couples
We often visit modern art galleries in cities we visit, but haven't experienced one quite like this. Staff were rude and indifferent. You make your way through sculptures and religious ancient art work and then eventually come to one large exhibition room. This is very sparse, with only 4 or 5 exhibits which provide no insight into why they are there or created. You pass through a door then, not quite believing that nothing is beyond except the exit! You can buy a combined ticket with the Torre dei Lambreti, but i wouldn't waste your time. Not recommended.

Sure this is modern?
Aug. 2018 • Couples
Not sure this art gallery matches the "modern" description when most of its art is 19th century with a smattering of 20th century art. Whatever its origin, the artwork is spectacular as is the building and courtyard its housed in particularly the dramatic stone staircase to the entrance.

Not just for Art Lovers
Jul. 2018 • Couples
This museum is a must for art lovers. Make sure you take a friend who does not think much of arts along, you will convert him/her. The place has the lot. Sculpture, paintings, things of your fancy and fantasy. Each room hash a theme, the descriptions of artists and exhibits are voluminous. Allow good 2-3 hours. I the last room but one, the one that looks like it was a banquet hall, look towards the ceiling along the sides.
