A powerful family in Verona in their time. Built so even in death, they must be looked up to. These are so ornate! Be sure to visit the little church up the steps. It's small but lovely

We came across this while looking for Romeo's house! It is a beautiful monument and shows the wealth of the Verona families.

There are several arches and a monument at the far end of Piazza dei Signori, they are very well sculptured.

We could only view these through the railings from the street, they were interesting enough and there is a useful information board near the entrance to the church

Graves and the ornamentation reveal a lot about a society. In this regard, Verona takes the notion of ornamentation to an extreme. These monuments are so decoratively designed. It gives a real sense of both the wealth of the era and the desire to be...More
