It is not usual to find Gothic tombs in the middle of a city. These exotic tombs with their original ewrought iron protective cages take you to a past that made Verona unique.

My wife and I found this to be one of the least interesting sights in Verona - a funerary monument to the Scaligere family. A nice example of Gothic art - but not worth seeking out unless you happen to be in the vicinity.
