It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Nice piazza. The Tower of Lamberti is located here. Some buildings featuring frescoed facades appear to be from the middle ages although they look dilapidated and probably in process of being restored as a construction crane can be seen behind them. There's lots of vendor stalls selling all kinds of things.

It is really worth seeing this Piazza on a Sunday when the market is not there to really appreciate how beautiful it is. Sculptures on the buildings, a fountain and colonnade, it really feels very special and it is lined with cafes and restaurants from where you can admire it all.

My wife and I were siting in a small restoran in Piazza delle Erbe for ours. We were drinking coffee and spritz, looking around the piazza, talked with the waiter about Italy, Verona. Such a lovely memory...

What a stunningly beautiful piazza. View all the architecture and colorful old buildings that flanks the square. On market day, it's a busy place. This place is a must visit to Verona !! Just sit there and enjoy the life goes by !

This piazza is surrounded by old building. There are coffee shops and restaurants around it. You many find kiosks in the middle selling souvenirs, clothes, bags, shoes and local products. You may also find kiosks selling fresh fruits in cups. Prices are average. The atmosphere is lovely.
