It's no wonder that this is one of the most historic and picturesque squares in Italy: in antiquity, it served as a Roman forum; today, it contains many historic buildings, sculptures with a popular and colorful market overflowing with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Beautiful place for a break, nice people and we can spend hours looking the old city, a lot place to take photos. One day I will be back.

It's a nice place to sit down in a cafe and just enjoy the atmosphere, buy some souvenirs and send a card to someone. They have a little mail box and they sell stamps too!

We were there just before the Christmas. Everywhere were well decorated with lights. Nice Christmas markets were avaible and it was pretty crowded.

This square -- once Verona's Roman forum -- has so much going on that I needed to step off to the side and slowly survey the scene. The center section features covered market stalls selling everything from vegetables to scarves. But there are earlier-era gems to seek out, such as a 1368 fountain with a 4th-century statue of the Madonna.... More

Piazza delle Erbe is one of the main attractions in Verona. Try and visit early in the morning when it is quiet, you'll enjoy it even more!

Although I loved the historical part of the trip, I love this a lot! It was nice to wind down after a huge day of walking and do a little shopping! All of the markets were great be the food by them were incredible

A lovely Piazza in a great central location, closely located to the Torre dei Lamberti, Art Gallery, and many of the main churches. The architecture around the Piazza is stunning. There are loads of reasonably priced bars to enjoy an aperitivo and do some people watching.

And that's about it. Most of what is being sold here is cheap manufactured goods you can buy anywhere. The frescoes on the surrounding buildings are pretty interesting.
