Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did the Venetian Legends and Curiosities tour with Laura. We really enjoyed it. Laura was a charming and informative guide and she showed us lots of places in the Sestiere Canareggio that we never would have found on our own. The tour stopped at one glass worker’s shop (grazie, Mauro!), but there were no strong-arm, high pressure tactics to make group members buy things. This was a lovely change from similar tours I have taken in other countries. Altogether a nice complement to the usual tourist route in Venice and a fun way to spend 2-3 hours. Grazie mille, Laura!

Laura was our tour guide, she was kind, informative, and was super knowledgeable about Venice. She kept us entertained the whole time, and even gave us a glimpse into Murano glass work. She gave us lots of recommendations for food and other activities for Venice. I'd 100% recommend her and I appreciate the energy that she brought into our tour :) The tour itself was very interesting as well. I saw parts of Venice I'm not sure I would have found on my own.

Highly recommend doing this tour as soon as you arrive. It provides you with background info on Venice but also places you can return to later on for a more in-depth tour of specific places that garbs your interest. Our tour must have had 30 people so much larger than expected. Yet no one got lost and looked like everyone stayed til the very end. Thats a good sign. There is an optional tip at the end but you are not pressured. Give what you feel is fair.

The tour with Simona was filled with great local tips and stories about the past and present of Venice. Simona is a very enthousiastic and funny tour guide, with perfect pronounciation. She gave us the best overview of the city, with stories we kept throughout our holiday!

Laura was a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour! My favourite part was when she took us into a friends glassmaking shop and gave us a personal tour. Momylia is a cute, small, glass-making shop using Murano glass and it was so good I bought a bracelet. I loved it. Laura also recommended local eateries for lunch and places for the best views of Venice. The full package. You’re not pressured to pay anything but we all felt like she had earned it so we all gave a little. Well worth it! She’s a Venetian and her passion for her home really came through. Thoroughly making this the first day of your Venice trip so you can use her recommendations on the rest of your stay

We did the Curiosities tour 3 p.m. with Laura. She covered all subject matter with great enthusiasm and depth. Fun and funny, Laura had vast knowledge of the Jewish experience in Venice, the Carnival, as well as city infrastructure and building techniqies. You can tell she loves Venice and loves to share what she knows.

Simona was an exceptional guide. She was welcoming, clear, fun and very knowledgeable. She judged the pace right, and imparted just the right amount of information. She was clear about our payment options at the start of the tour, and we - and many others - were more than happy to contribute generously at the end.

Loved the tour I took with Simona!
She was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable, providing the group with an engaging history of Venice.
She went above and beyond providing suggestions based on people’s individual interests.
Would highly recommend starting your visit to Venice with this walking tour!

Hi guys, I'm looking at tours first week of October. I know these aren't available to book yet, but can you please advise for the afternoon tour North, does this start at the "summer" time of 5pm or the "winter" time of 3pm? Thanks

Do you offer tours on Saturday in August (are the synagogues open for tourists on Saturday)?

There is a walking tour on Saturday. I am not sure about the synagogues.
You are better off contacting them directly as you have directed your question to people who have reviewed this tour.

yes right on their web site but in our case we waited too long and the tour was full. We went to the meeting point anyways. We were able to get in so don't let anyone full group deter you. Go a little early so you can get in the wait line.

How do I decide between the 10am and 11am tours? What is the main difference? My understanding is they cover different areas - but what is the main difference between these areas? I need help choosing! Any insight would be great. Thank you.

We took the 4pm tour (I believe start time varies by season) that started at Campo SS Apostoli. The group was split into two--we opted for the one that took in the ghetto, guided by Anna.
I believe this tour is also offered in the morning--don't remember what hour. I can't judge the alternative itineraries--we did only this one. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you choose--enjoy!
