Five months later and I can still taste it!

I Tre Mercanti is a very nice little shop specializing in tiramisu. It is a fun challenge locating the shop, but well worth it. Yes - it is the best.

The best tiramisu we've ever eaten - light and lovely. Kids loved the Nutella version. Going back for second helpings tomorrow.

I love Italian tiramisu and came here after seeing the reviews. You can even watch them make it which is really cool. I must have had one that had been sitting for a while because it was a bit watery, but still delicious! I had the original, but they also offer many other interesting flavor combos. I definitely recommend popping... More

Staff is very welcoming, he explained us the way they do the tiramisu while a man was preparing them in live in front of us. We had the classic one and the Nutella one because I personally don't drink coffee but I have to admit the classic was the best. The Nutella one was too sweet for me and cocoa... More

Light, fluffy and refreshing!!! And it's all hand made in store right in front of you. They also have a wide range of other deserts and sweet snacks, great place if you have a sweet tooth.

Found this gem while exploring Venice, Tiramisu was amazing and OMG (sorry had to) they had macaroons to boot. A bit pricey but expected and well worth it.

Light, creamy, melt in your mouth, Best tiramisu we had in Italy. We came quite late as the store was closing but managed to sample some original tiramisu. Perfect balance of flavours. Sat on the steps outside and watched the gondolas go by! Such a DOUBLE TREAT! Must visit in Venice...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
