Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

5,015 reviews
This sightseeing tour allows you to see three islands in the Venetian Lagoon in half a day. Visitors often visit Murano—well-known for its glass-blowing factory—but fewer make it to Burano and Torcello, with their lace-making shops and ornate palaces and churches. The tour also offers two departure times a day, making it easier to fit into your schedule.

Local artist who is making glass in his studio in an old convent. His works were original, beautiful and affordable. We were captivated to watch him create in his studio and we were welcome to linger for a long time. Interesting and creative. (And kind). No pressure on sales. We bought lots of treasures. Go here! A completely different experience from what you can find on Murano Island. It's like the glass making of era past, hard to find in Venice now. Very close to Hilton Hotel on Guidecca Island

While visiting Giudecca and the Cloister of Cosma and Damiano, we had the chance to meet Stefano Morasso in his lab / shop. A very kind & nice welcome, explanations of his art and passion. Way different from what we see in Murano, in a quite and nice place: jewels, glasses...

Glad we visited this place before we went shopping. Venice is full of fake goods from China, thanks to their inherent tendency to plagiarize ideas from other cultures. Our take away? Watch out for shops with fake Murano glass from China. Look for the seal of authenticity. We made sure that we bought the real thing and bought our glass from this shop.

I found a leaflet in our apartment so we came to find this small studio on the Giudecca! So glad we did he is a clever man and we saw some lovely items at very reasonable prices indeed. Earrings for €15! The small number of low scored reviews do NOT refer to this tiny workshop in Venice, people should be more careful to be accurate about where they really went!!
