Lived sailing across the Laguna but despite us going back and forth several times we didn't see George Clooney! Stunning views nevertheless.

Yet another beautiful sight in Venice. If you especially love the sea and water, this will be extra special. Some great views from the Lagoon/Laguna and really a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Grab some wine and enjoy the views here!

Amazing to see how this city is put together. You can understand why they built it where they did to protect themselves from marauders of the day.

We took a Hop on Hop off water taxi tour and the views were stunning. We visited Murano and saw an actual artisan blowing glass. It usually costs 5 euro per person to see. On the way back we were in the Lagoon.

We went out on the waterbus to Torcellow via Murano and Burano. Murano was as crowded as Venice but Torcello was quieter. We got out to the Lido one day but did not have time to explore. The islands are not great for wildlife but...More

You'll get around a lot quicker on a Vaparetto. A vaparetto is basically a BUS that travels on the water. There regular route with a time able just like the city bus you are used too. You can probably get to just about anything else...More

If it would be a choice of the only one place from everything to visit, I would go to see the Laguna di Venezia one more time!

San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one
of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza
San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica,
clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops,
orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand
pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring
campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower,
plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and

I think the master glass blowing demonstration in one of the factory on the island of Murano is free. But you need to check the time when demonstration is given to the public.
