We love to go to local art galleries everywhere we travel. A pleasure for our eyes and trip to Venice. We didn't need to purchase any tickets ahead of time as there was not any queue (may be it was a cold February day and...More

This bridge was under repair during our visit, so there was no view which was a shame. You can still cross it though.

This bridge was very different than I imagined, but I loved the rustic look! There are beautiful views (and pictures) from the bridge and from either side. I recommend a visit!

Ponte dell'Accademia is an old wooden bridge that has stood for decades. although at the moment it is mostly hidden by construction & renovation. But when you climb it you can still see parts of the old bridge. Possibly best wait until they finish it...More

You can't see anything from the bridge unless you climb onto the scaffolding . There is plywood blocking the view but that does not stop intrepid tourists.

Lovely wooden bridge over the Grand Canal. Views make ideal photo opportunities. Connects two interesting areas of Venice with lovely campos , cafes , restaurants and museums. We crossed over the bridge several times when exploring Venice. In Jan 2018 the bridge was covered in...More

It's a fascinating structure which takes you conveniently from Dorsoduro to area which is a short walk to San Marco. Campo Stefano is just a short walk from the bridge, as well as La Fenice.

It's probably the only wooden bridge of this large a size in Venice. It's currently under rennovation so the scaffolding somewhat blocks the view and makes it hard to take photos of the canal. Other than the view, it's essentially a regular bridge.

The bridge itself is very nice to see, but it is an even better site for taking photographs of the grand Canal and all the water traffic going by. The bridge is very close to art galleries. There are pubs and restaurants close by.

The Ponte Accademia is one of only three bridges crossing the Grand Canal. It is a wooden type bridge. It is not as impressive as The Rialto Bridge so I wouldn't go out of my way just to see it.
