Fantastic tower leading off St Mark's Sq to the back streets of San Marco with weird clock and bells. The clock is based on astrological signs and a 24 hour clock with a clockwork digital clock above and 2 figures striking to hours and quarters..

Very small and personal guided tours of the clock tower are available, tickets being bought in advance at the Correr Museum, at the other end of St Mark's Square. It is an absolutely fascinating tour which ends up on the top of the clock tower,...More

Must go watch it ring and move. Like many throughout Europe. Not as fab as Prague but particularly good at dusk.

While you'll need to book ahead the tour that takes you inside the famous clock tower in St Marks Square is well worth it. The tour starts from the Museo Correr not the tour itself. There are 132 steps and at the top they are...More
