Some very unusual frescoes on the walls and pillars. Agreed with an earlier comment about the weird proportions of one saint....huge feet, little head! If you are in Treviso, worth seeing.
Fantastic Renaissance architecture and decoration. Wonderful early frescoes by thomas so di Moreno and others.
Surprising frescoes in this monumental church - all of them rarities.The most interesting and biggest St Christoph we have ever seen. St Jerome is also amazing!
Very spiritual and special church. The art work and history is truly fascinating. Sadly I missed attending services there but I am sure it would be very special. A must visit regardless.
After visiting the church, go next door to the monastery and ask to visit the room where there are the paintings of various brothers at work. You will also see the painting of the monk wearing spectacles. This is reputedly the first example in art...More
It was the first place we visited in Treviso and it was amazing. It is close to the city center and one of the most important places in Treviso.
The interior of this Church contains a fairly large number of ancient frescoes including a gigantic on of a saint with a smallish head and enormous feet. The place is closed at lunch so watch out for the proper time to get in.
Really worth a visit - totally amazing Frescos and the Crypt is breath-taking. Very peaceful place & would definately recommend a stop here
