I suppose I'm used to not paying for art galleries and museums in the UK so at €14 for an adult, I guess I expected spectacular! My partner and I spent a couple of hours here. It was pretty good - I like modern art and there were a few examples which I loved - but I really don't think... More

Is is not a huge, but large enough gallery to provide you a nice insight on Modern art from different periods! There is temporary and permanent exhibitions, totally modern peaces of art and also some a little bit more calm modern...

Although we liked the concept behind the GAM -- arranging the collection thematically, not chronologically -- we thought the presentation offered too little detail and context to make for a fully enjoyable viewing experience. On the plus side, we liked having the chance to see a wide range of artists whose works rarely, if ever, appear in the US. Also,... More

The show consisted of well known 'household' names mixed in an interesting dialogue with -to me- unknown artists mainly from Italy.

The Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GAM) (Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art) in Turin was the first collection of modern art opened to the public. The artistic possession of the Gallery consists of 15,000 works of paintings, sculptures, installations and photographies, as well as of a rich collection of drawings and engravings. The length of the visit is about... More

I am not a fan of modern art, but my sister is so I went along with her. We were very impressed at the lay out, and there was so much to see! We were also amazed at the lack of people - we must have been the only people in the gallery for a large proportion of our visit.... More

I went with a group of students, without a guide and missed a lot. Personally didnt like it may be because my lack of knowlege on modern art.We went everywhere but not quite knowing what we were doing. Its a very big and clean museum I think witout a logical order.

I love to go in GAM every time I can also for take a look on the little but interesting book shop. Conferences, expositions...GAM for me is a familiar place to return. Fausto Melotti sculpture on the entrance is always a surprise and a good reason to go there and visit.

Located near the centre, very well connected via GTT buses and Metro, GAM is one of the most interesting museums in Turin. Nowadays there are two exibitions: Monet (with lots of paintings from the french Musée d'Orsay) and "Il mercante di Nuvole" (with famous pieces of furniture designed by "Studio65"). Besides, on the 2nd floor, there are operas from the... More

The Gallery is hosting a Monet collection. Online tickets for weekend were sold out so I decided to go there early to buy ticket on spot. Got there at 9:35am, there was a 50 meter long line already. By the time the Gallery opened (10am), the line expanded to about 300meters long. It moved so slowly because 1), some people... More
