It is an interesting museum which is larger than one would suspect. It has a variety of displays covering a range of historical times additionally some of the rooms themselves are spectacular and worth visiting on their own merit.

Best way of losing a few hours, sit outside one of the many bars with a beer / coffee and just take in the view, then grab a Gellateri and wonder through the entrance to the garden.

I love museums, but this one was rather dull. Most of the exhibits are prints and documents. The assembly chamber of the first parliament is the highlight.
