Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In the heart of Torino, this remarkable church with its mighty columns has stood for 300 years. Named for the saint Filippo Neri who died in 1595, the cathedral showcases both baroque and neoclassical styles. The painting isn’t necessarily remarkable, but the detailed ceiling and columns are. It’s not a point of interest that is worth detouring, but it’s worth seeing if you’re nearby.

This beautiful church is located very close to the museo Egizio. Interesting to note that the front facade is neoclassical while the interior is baroque.

Chiesa di San Filippo Neri is a neoclassical church located in the center of Turin, close to the Museo Egizio (Egiptian Museum, in English). It is a nice and big church. Interesting, not more. In the average.

This church is so big the pews inside only come half way back from the altar. It has huge alcoves on each side filled with pillars, paintings and statues. The altar has a large centrepiece with beautiful mini balconies to each side encasing the organ pipes.

This is a baroque style Roman Catholic Church actively used in the center of Turin. There are no tourist services that I could find, which kind of makes a visit more authentic. This is actually the largest church in Turin. A lot of impressive paintings inside.

... where I remember, many years ago, listening to Haendel's Messia in all its splendor.. I saw it again more recently, as on a cold winter night last December, I entered and realized that I was the only person there.. while organ music from the loudspeakers was filling the thin air.. magic..

We didn't find out the history of this church and there weren't many plaques to tell a lot. The ones that were there ( see the picture) were in Italian . Inside was very pretty but didn't explore much because mass was starting. Organ music was very beautiful.

This is a nice find in Torino. It is a very old church with a long an interesting history. They have a pamphlet in English, and other languages, in the back of the church. They are easy to read and follow the history and layout of the church well. There is a also a multi lingual video you can watch for free. Impressive in that is is synced with the lighting. Enjoy

This is a very large and impressive church in the center of Torino and very much worthwhile a visit when you are in Torino. The silence within the church is refreshing when you are in the buzzing city center.
