Worth walking in if only for a few minutes

The painting of the walls and ceilings is quite incredible, it is like the interior of the whole building is a canvas.

Frankly, if you are after the romanesque beauty skip this. It shuts from 12 to 3 and was not worth waiting for. A highly overpainted interior and not much else of beauty. Some nice buildings nearby, and a crypt open on Wednesdays. This was not Wednesday. Go back to San Secundo to forget your disappointment.

this is a beautiful cattedrale and especially fun when the local cities have a food festival in June. the parking lot turns into tents with regional foods.

The interior of Asti's cathedral is breathtaking. Every inch of every surface is tastefully frescoed,in soft colours which soothe the eye and make the spirits soar. The supporting pillars of this magnificent building rise ever-upwards to the beautifully painted ceilings, and are decorated with delicate trailing plants and leaves so they compliment the grander designs above them. The exterior of the Cathedral I like the most. Made me think of the red stone St. Cecile in Albi, St.France. The interior is decorated with fresco's, wall-to-ceilings; a bit too much...

Magnificent old cathedral with amazing detail inside. The paintings are incredible. No flash when taking pictures! Calm and quiet experience with time to reflect.

To get to the cathedral you experience many historic sites of Asti, whichever route you choose to take. The façade is interesting and the interior even more so. I found it more impressive than some of the other "more famous/renowned " cathedrals. History surrounds this place

This is the centre piece of this historic city. An amazing cathedral with a museum next to it that has been restored so well. In fact the museum is the first place to visit and then the cathedral.
