Inside its own museum space, which is part of the Castello Sforzesco. It is amazing to see this sculpture. Tips - the line was about 30 minutes long for us, and we went on the "free first Sunday" of October, meaning I expect the line...More

This is the only work in this museum, but if you love Michelangelo's captive slaves, you'll love this. Not just unfinished, but unresolved, it is all the more poignant for its uncertainty. Breaking the mould for the pieta as a subject, it is so different...More

You can see the figures emerging from the marble and can imagine how the artist was planning on pulling them out.

Cost us 10 Euro each to enter. Just ONE sculpture in here. Michelangelo's sculpture which is unfinished. He was 91 when he made it. Its nice, but not great and not worth the money.

We visited Castello Sforzesco on the first Sunday of the month so it was unexpectedly free. A real highlight was seeing Rondanini Pietà by Michelangelo. With it being a free day there was often a line to go in. Overall it is average as far...More
