Forget about it being a railway station - as a piece of architecture, it sits very comfortably into its surroundings. Internally, it's a very busy railway station with a number of different places to get a drink and a snack. We used McCafe (part of...More

When you leave the railwaystation and you enter the square, do not walk to the left to go to the ‘miniera d’oro bar’. Its a rip off!! Translated it means Goldmine and thats just what it is. You have to pay 8 euro’s for one...More

This is a pretty cool building from an architecture standpoint. Relatively clean. Has a McDonalds, Pharmacy, and other necessities (like a bookstore).

A grand display of Fascist Megalomania expressed in architecture. Must be seen inside and out to grasp a sense of its immense proportions. Look up in the concourse for interesting details and at the facade for unsubtle reminders of Fascist rule. As a traveler it’s...More

The central station is beautiful, as you can imagine with it being Milan after all! I was looking up so much I nearly bashed into people as I walked. There are quite a few shops and access to more from the station and underground. Like...More

It‘s a big and nice station. I used the station to get to Malpensa airport and a day trip to Genova.

This stazione is quite big enough and there is a deposit for bagagli, shopping center, restaurant, cafe and public toilet. Good place for transit from bus stazione or from airport before we go to next place. The building is pure europe style.

First train ride to Milan during our Italian vacation. Grand and artistic train station that exceeded our expectation. Since we were rookies at riding the train in Italy , it was hard to find the public restrooms, but we asked around to find the one...More

This enormous building opened in 1931 at the height of the fascist era. Insecure authoritarians love extravagance, especially at public expense. So Benito Mussolini’s Milano Centrale is an iconic throwback to the days when real men recklessly threw citizens (and lira) into the glorious pursuit...More
