Do not expect some special things like large fountains or plenty of statues, but the park is very nice and worth walking through or rest on some bench on a sunny day. There are many curving paths, nice lake in the middle, monument to Napoleon III. We crossed it during our walk from the castle to Arco di Pace and... More

With the really impressive Arch of Peace at one end and Sforza Castle at the other with meandering paths, streams and ponds, a very pleasant and popular place to wander.

I think this park didn't deserve any detour. Just average. I had read some positive reviews and had some expectations... A chance I had to pass to this park to reach the castle otherwise I would have been unhappy. But since it was on my way, it wasn't a problem. Maybe a place to rest but not really to enjoy... More

That is a great park to walk or just to enjoy nature. It is easy to reach by public transport such as metro (via Sforzesco Castle) or tram. If you are travel with your dog, here is a good place to play and walk with him. At one end of the park lies the castle of Sforzesco and in the... More

Lovely park, perfect place to relax or sunbathe. We took our kindles when it was very sunny, and lay on the grass. Dogs have to be on their leads, except for specific dog parts of the park, which is good, and the owners respect the rules too (or they're fined!).

We went here at night and once in the day. At night it is a bit freaky because there are a lot of weird things going on, as in most parks. It is beautiful to see. We went during the carnival, so they had a lot going on. There are a lot of places to eat around there.

Sempione is a beautiful and airy park where you can stroll along and see manicured gardens, flowers and trees abound the landscape...grab some wine, cheese and salami at a local grocer and enjoy a picnic in the open spaces and get some sun.

It's refreshing walking around this park with the nice lake in a shiny day! It has some interesting sculptures. Panoramic view of the Arco della pace and of the Forza Castle.

Park may be is very nice place but I am giving low score as when I visited it (Friday around 18:00 during daylight) there were only fey white visitor and a lot of immigrants on small groups which used to watch to other visitors quite bit aggressively and tried to talk to some of the visitors. I don't know Italian... More

Didn't know this park existed and was pleasantly surprised when we visited the Castello a sunny February day. There is a small restaurant and a sizeable Fun Fair. It was refreshing to walk around in the middle of the city.

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
